Extremely fine bronze by Eugene  Aizelin (France 1821-1902) "Marguerite", Princess of France. Highly articulated and fine resolution to this large version is impressive. Standing figure in a deeply reflective posture and composed expression. Dark bronze patina with hallmarks by Barbedienne foundry and signed EUG AIZELIN, created circa the 1880s. Large size casting of sculpture  27" tall on base 8" by 9"
